We have a 10 x 5 meter swimming pool that has a depth of 1m in the shallow and 2m in the deep end. There are 2 individual changing cupicles and an open plan changing area as well as toilet and 2x showers. Please ensure you use your hour swim session to change and vacate the premesis before the next session starts.
The pool is located near High Ash Farm in Caister St Edmund. The address is Stoke Holy Cross pool, Chandler Rd, Stoke Holy Cross, Norwich NR14 8RQ
All sessions are one hour long. Please arrive within 5 minutes of your session time and please leave promptly to allow the following group to start their session at their alotted time. Please use the end of your swimming time to shower and change so there is a smooth hand over to the next session. This is a shared facility that works on respecting all users :)
The whole facility is on the ground level and disabled toilets are on-site. There is a small ramp to the entrance of the premsesis, but no steps to navigate into the hall. The steps into the pool has a sturdy handrail and easy access steps to the pool. If assistance is needed to enter a pool, please ensure a helper is on hand if disabled access is required.
You will need to bring the usual things you will need for any swimming pool; costume, towel, goggles. We do not provide towels for your stay, so please bring these with you and take them away once you have concluded your session. All visitors are to wear swimwear at all times within the pool area and upon leaving the premises, must be fully clothed. Please bring waterwings or swim aids for swimmers who are learning or less confident.
Due to the shallow nature of the pool and the fact there is no physical lifeguard on-site, we ask that you do not dive into the pool for your safety. We want you to enjoy the facility, but in a safe and well mannered way. Please respect the area and ensure no injuries
Those who need swimming aids to support their swim should bring their own swim aids. Inflatable toys such as Lilo's are permitted, but must be kept under control and under safe usage to ensure no breakages to the property or harm to swimmers. It is the visitors responsibility to make sure all swimmers are safe and swimming within their ability. All childern under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult for everyones safety. No inflatable balls such as volleyballs are permitted to ensure no breakages.
There is CCTV on the premises, but there will be no Lifeguard on duty. It is imperative for your safety that the venue be treated with respect as well as those visiting must behave sensibly and within their swimming ability. All non-swimmers MUST be accompanied by a proficient swimmer and under their full observation.
Yes, There is parking for 8 cars; two out the front and space for a further 6 behind the tennis court (one minute walk). Please be mindful to respect the area and those who are swimming before you and after you. This is a shared space for all users. If you do not NEED to park right next to the venue, please be mindful that the group after you may require a shorter walk due to disability or imparement.
